GirlSpace Leadership Camps - Senior Girls

GirlSpace Leadership camps are a great way for girls to come together and develop their leadership skills in a free, fun and interactive way. With a main focus on developing self-esteem, the camps consist of a variety of activities designed to teach girls how to become true leaders. The camps provide girls with the opportunity to build important skills in the areas of cooperation, communication, creativity and critical thinking. Along with these skills, the camps also address some of the important issues facing girls today. Topics such as body image, healthy lifestyles, bullying and healthy relationships will be explored through fun and creative activities. Senior Girls: ages 13-17. Camps are FREE. Project Child Recovery Summer Camp

YWCA Lethbridge and District has a strong belief in enhancing the lives of the children and families of our community. With today's constantly changing society, children have been forced to try to keep up with the pressures that surround their lives. Sometimes those pressures are beyond their coping abilities. Upcoming Summer Camps: •July 13 to 17, 2015, 9am to 3pm each day; snacks and lunch provided to children •August 10 to 14, 2015, 9am to 3pm each day; snacks and lunch provided to children Project Child Recovery is a FREE program for children 6-12 years of age. For Children that have witnessed or experienced: •Family Violence •Bullying •Substance Abuse •Grief/Loss •Separation/Divorce •Abandonment •Foster Care Objectives of the Program: •To Encourage Self Acceptance •To Develop Healthy Coping Strategies •To Enhance Self-Esteem •To Explore Support Systems Groups are Fun, Imaginative and full of Discovery!
