Welcome to the book club
Welcome to “As the Page Turns”, YWCA Lethbridge & District’s book club.
|
Reading has been a passion for me my whole life. But the reading is just the beginning, it’s the sharing opinions and observations about the book that completes the experience. Share your opinions! If you loved it, fine. If you didn’t like it, even better – let’s talk about why. For me, I need to like at least one character in a book or movie. |
Sometimes, that ‘why I didn’t like it” thing leads me to understand more about myself and our society than ‘why I liked the book’. "So many books, so little time!" Hope to see you there, Rachel Anne Remington |
Note: women and men are welcome at both groups.
As the Page Turns - Evening Group meets on the 4th Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
You are welcome at this friendly group anytime. Coffee and cookies are served.
Click here for our reading list through March.
As the Page Turns - Noon Group meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month at 12 noon. We are reading Women Who Run With the Wolves, by Clarissa Pinkola Estes over the next several months. We'll read excerpts from each chapter out loud at the meeting and discuss that. Good format for busy people! Bring your lunch. Coffee and cookies are served.
All meetings are at the YWCA Lethbridge and District, 604 – 8 Street South, Lethbridge. Contact Anne Remington at (403) 329-0088 or inquiries@ywcalethbridge.org for more information.
