The YWCA Lethbridge and District has been a part of the Lethbridge community since 1949. We are committed to providing programs and services that benefit women: enhancing their lives and the lives of their families.
Since 1975, we have recognized women in our community through the annual Women of Distinction Awards. The awards are presented to women who have distinguished themselves through their achievements, as members of their communities and as role models for other women.
A new tradition of recognition commenced in 2001 with the Young Women of Distinction Award. It is presented to young women in Southern Alberta who are role models, active members in our community and have made scholastic achievements. Proceeds from this event support the Young Girl / Savvy Women Conference.
